Homage to the painter Frida Kahlo

February 11th, 2011 · 1 Comment · Art, Jewelry

A while ago I discovered the wonderful blog, Mar de color rosa of the Spanish jewelry maker Montserrat Lacomba. For lovers, connoisseurs and creators of contemporary jewelry her blog is a must. A great blog packed with information about jewelry shops - galleries - designers, -makers, - photographers - exhibitions,etc. etc., too numerous to mention. Highly recommended! Montserrat Lacomba lives and works on the Spanish island of Formentera. Most of her jewelry is very colorful and sober in form; Montserrat often makes use of enamel. Her latest series of jewelry is an homage to the paintings of Frida Kahlo.
