Amazing embroidery

Not only makes Lois of 13Threads the most handsome clothing but she also finds time to discover surprising artists and finds for her blog.
Thanks to her I came across the embroidery works of Jazmin Berakha.

Here Lois models one of her beautiful creations and I like to point out that she is wearing one of our necklaces from the series “Hip To Be Square”

On to Buenos Aires based Jazmin Berakha. She is a visual artist; Jazmin works
in a wide formation of disciplines; film, theatre, music,using different supports such as illustration, embroidery, graphic and costume design.

In these works Jazmin Berakha could easily tell their stories in pencil or paint but instead choose the much more pain-staking, time-consuming path of embroidery. I find her work amazingly,bespecially the graphic aspect really appeals to me.

Flying Saucer Rings

Curious about what more we have done recently besides working on our new website?

Well… we came up with yet another ring for our series Flying Saucer Rings.

Last week we made a simple yet elegant silver napkin holder.

And… I am not sure but did I ever show you this ring before?
Her name is Blue Basket, she is made of Sterling Silver in combination with a very nice Turquoise stone.

Is has been a while since I talked about Etsy but the other day I found some neat shops which I would like to share with you.

The first shop is MyRebe, were you can find great deals on the clothing line of mother and daughter DebraWeis and Hillary Sproatt. They are the design team behind My Rebe, a company for clothing, accessories and bags. And if this weren’t enough, Hillary keeps a great blog and has her own site where she shows us her drawings, books and embroidery.

LaLaShoes from Croatia, makes stylish, beautiful soft sole shoes for babies & toddlers and room shoes for girls & women.

StarBags from Turkey makes great big, small, chique and casual bags …most are one of a kind. Homako born in Japan but now living in Los Angelos makes accessories. I especially like her fabric necklaces.

Do you also love special and good quality clothing but don’t live in a city with many shops? I am always very happy when I find a designer who makes exceptional clothes. 13 Thread’s is based in Scotland, doesn’t have a shop as far as I know but she has a Etsy shop were she sells her marvelous clothing. She likes to mix the old with the new to create something a little bit different and special. Many of her pieces are one-of-a-kind or limited editions and are all designed, cut and stitched by hand. Recently I bought a dress in her Etsy shop, the quality and the design are really outstanding.
