Really unbelievable how many shoes Trippen shows on their site and webshop.
A wide range from minimalistic to the exotic.

Michael Oehler and Angela Spieth founded the German shoe manufactory Trippen in 1992. Their vision: modern design combined with environmental friendliness, sustainability and social responsibility using the best materials. Lightweight and uber-chic, these unlined designs often feature visually engaging details like exposed seams, cutwork, and playful asymmetry.

In 1995 the first flagship store opened in Berlin and today their shoes are sold in more than 450 shops worldwide from Beijing to Reykjavik. The shoes are made exclusively in Berlin and Northern Italy. Trippen shoes have won several product design awards.

So these interior pictures of the furniture makers of Pinch fit into my frame of mind right now… Wonderful atmosphere in the rooms of Pinch, look at the desk, isn’t beautiful?

Founded in 2004, Pinch is the collaboration between husband and wife team Russell Pinch and Oona Bannon. They work from their studio / showroom in London. The pieces have a timeless quality and are designed and built to last.
All furniture is made by hand and to order.

This is one of my latest necklaces! It is a 90 cm. long and remarkably necklace made of large ebony elements combined with gray hematite beads and different types of turquoise, red, black and white coral and silver beads.

The necklace is an one of a kind and the design is by me.

What is a prefabricated home?  In a nutshell, a “prefab home” refers to several different types of building systems in which a home is partially or entirely constructed, manufactured, or assembled in a factory, assembly plant, or lumber yard.

Yesterday morning on the daily walk with the dogs I had the opportunity to take this picture. Probably we had disrupted the deer and they fled up the meadow. They were so nice to stand still for a moment for me to take a picture.

I never introduced you properly to my new dog. This is Fons he is with us now for a few weeks.

Fons comes from a shelter, is 9 months old and had no idea what running was.
It was not very hard to teach him!

Born in ‘Saigon’ Diem Chau is a Vietnam native, but she and her family came to America as refugees in 1986. She graduated at Cornish College of the Arts and since then has won many awards. Diem Chau exhibited her extraordinary work in galleries in New York, Miami, Seattle and Los Angeles.

At the moment she has a solo show at the Packer Gallery in Chicago. For all of you who don’t live in Chicago you can see all of the new work HERE.

Loek Hambeukers makes bronze sculptures and bowls.
He begins by drawing a pattern in a wax model, and then the final form is cast and finished. The result is mystical looking bowls that seem to be hundreds of years old and just dug out of the earth.
