Sjoerd Vroonland is in his fourth year of Product Design at the School of  Arts in Arnhem, The Netherlands.

He was inspired by the traditional and early industrial furniture designs from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, especially the collection of Thonet chairs. With those in mind Sjoerd devised new connection methods.

This is what he says about the technique ; “With wooden beads attached to each other – like a ball-joint –threading them and  putting tension on them, I make a chair frame.”

Interiors stylist Tanneke Neessen compiled the collection in this exquisite webshop. They carry famous Dutch designers like Studio Job, Jurgen Bey and many others.

Maria used a Smock-technique on the purple and the black bag.  The bags seem to be inspired by Arabian architecture…

The German Denise Julia Reytan does a variety of interesting things.
She designs carpets and jewelry and even costumes. I really like the costumes; they are very special and unique.

Her own words about her costumes are: “I design traditional costumes in a new way, as I envisage them today. These costumes represent the environment and the diverse cultures which surround me, my social status and my interests.”
