It was through 13Threads that I heard of the Under the Walnut Tree cookbook. Because not only does Lois design beautiful clothing …
… did you see her latest dress …
…or this great hat …
… she also is a great cook with an interest in everything that is written about (healthy) food. Despite her busy live she manages to keep track of the latest cookbooks. Thanks to her I am always up to date …
Under the Walnut Tree is an inspiring cookbook by mother and daughter team, Anna and Fanny Bergenstrom. The recipes are organised by ingredient, such as avocados, leafy greens, horseradish, citrus, nuts, cardamom, mango, ginger, chillies, chocolate and vanilla. The writing is easy to grasp and recipes extremely approachable.

Oh, Marion, thank you for this! I hope you will love this book as much as I do. I passed on a plate of the Festive Almond Slices to my neighbour who returned the empty plate and said they were the best, ever! So simple yet absolutely delicious. Enjoy!

Your welcome Lois!
Since I only received the book yesterday, I didn’t have the time to cook from it yet … but the recipes and photos look delicious. I looked up a few bookstores on the internet but the book sold out everywhere.

I love Lois’s creations–she always amazes me. I think she was the first shop I hearted, and I always go looking at her work.
I tried to order this book, Marion, but it’s already out of print. You must have got the last one
Nevertheless, you can read the ingrediants chapters, and I’ve already made the grapefruit and avocado salad–delicious.
