As some of you may know I don’t think of myself as a romantic person … but sometimes I have my doubts, like in this case with the, in my opinion, very romantic paintings by Anne Siems … because I like them very much …
Anne Siems moved in 1991 from Berlin, Germany to Seattle in the U.S. after finishing her MFA at the Hochschule der Kunste in Berlin, Germany.
She has an ongoing love for the art of the European Masters…
… Early American Folk Art …
… as well as vintage and modern photography.
Siems creates tableaux of precisely painted subjects who wear detailed yet transparent clothes.
Very romantic don’t you agree?

They are quite romantic. I see them illustrating a beautiful children’s story. I particularly like the first painting. The colours on the birds are just gorgeous.

Wow, you know–her work mirrors the image of Lois wearing that gorgeous long necklace of your design and making. (with Lois in the lace dress).
