This morning very early I went for my daily walk with the dogs, no sun out yet and it was still
-13 degrees! COLD!
It has been freezing for over a week now and all over The Netherlands people are skating.
In Friesland, all the way up north where I live, it looks like this…
And in Amsterdam it looks quite different …

Incredibly beautiful!
Not quite as cold here and no snow either but it is also gorgeous with blue sky and bright sun. Skates would have been good for my walk this morning with Ada.

Glad to hear the sun is out in Edinburgh too Lois.
The ice has never been better, smooth and black. Almost all people here in Friesland can and do skate, the young and the (very) old too!
