A little while back we visited the exhibition of fashion designer Azzedine Alaïa in the Groninger Museum.
Although not all of Alaïa clothing appeals to me, this exhibition is absolutely beautiful!

The detail in some of the clothing is just amazing!

I have no idea If we ever going to use it, but recently we happened to play around with this …

The exhibition Azzedine Alaïa in the 21st century in the Groninger Museum in Groningen, The Netherlands, is still going on up to May 6, 2012.

The detail is wonderful! I love the shape of the dress in the second photograph. It looks like it is made from felted wool? The sculptural shapes are incredible.
It is great to come away from an exhibition feeling totally inspired.

Yes Lois, it is felted wool and indeed the sculptural shapes were amazing … sometimes the dresses looked like they were made from rubber because often I did not understand how the shapes kept their form …
