Until November 5 2012 the MMKA (Museum of Modern Art) in Arnhem, The Netherlkands presents the exhibition UNLEASHED!
This exhibition is an overview of rule-breaking JEWELLERY.
In this state-of-the-art overview, pieces of jewellery will break out of the museum cases and be scattered over the walls and floors and decorate streets and squares.
From small imaginative brooches to portraits of pop-stars woven from strings of pearls and meters-high pieces interwoven with street furniture: in Unleashed! an international community of eighty jewellery designers show that the possibilities and applications of jewellery are almost boundless.

The bird looks like it is wearing one of Kest’s masks.
This looks like an interesting exhibition – will you get to go?

Can you believe I did not make the “masks” connection?
I have long doubted whether I wanted to use this picture because I do not like birds to wear masks. But I decided to go ahead because surely the photo must be photo shopped?
The museum is in a very nice city, Arnhem has a fashion academy, so lots of good shops and the museum itself is interesting, so I hope we’ll find the time to go …
