Anouk Vogel is a Dutch landscape architect.
She just realised FOLDING FOR PEACE, a paper garden in Nagasaki, Japan.
“An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish, such as long life or recovery from illness or injury. Inspired by this popular belief, the garden Folding For Peace is the physical remain of a wish for world peace. All the plants that compose the garden are folded out of white paper.”
The projects of Anouk are very divers. They range from fashion projects like this SEASON CHANGE dress …
to fairytale like WINTER & SUMMER bridges …
The realisation of the bridges is planned for the end of 2012 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Great idea -folding for peace- The result is beautiful. I like the mirror house on her site and these bridges, nice!

Visiting her site again I see the Mirror house is built in Almere, a few miles from my home! I am going to find out if the house is finished yet.

Yes that house is really good looking, do you know I have even never been in Almere?
It says autumn of 2011 so maybe the Mirror house is just finished Erica.

I think the project is a bit delayed. I checked the site of the architect http://www.johanselbing.nl
and the execution date is 2012.
