Jan and I have been dreaming for years of a beautiful and practical cabinet for our Atelier.
So guess what happend this morning … I found him!
Wouldn’t it be great to store and at the same time display part of our jewelry in this beautiful cabinet?
Sixay is a Hungarian company that makes beautiful furniture in various woods. And yes they have dealers in a few European countries and also in The U.S.
Isn’t it a beauty?

The precision needed to make all those drawers exactly the same…but in different wood…is quite beautiful. A perfect, very stylish place to keep your gorgeous work!
…And the grasshopper bench and recliner would be the perfect place to sit and ponder some more brooches and necklaces to fill up those lovely drawers.

This would make a big change in our Atelier… People can look in the drawers and the drawer when taken out can be used as a tray for the jewelry.
And Lois even without the grasshopper bench we came up with two new brooches! We can’t stop.

I am a NY based jewelry designer. I do not have a store so I must make my Manhattan apartment double as living space and display space. This piece is gorgeous and would be perfect for samples of my limited edition pieces- duplicate finished products could be in larger shelves below or in another area. Where in the US, especially the NY area, could I find something like this that isn’t a fortune? Doesn’t have to be gorgeous varying real wood.

Thanks for visiting my blog! These cabinets are all pretty expensive, especially in wood. No idea where in the U.S they are for sale. Maybe you can look into second hand drawing cabinets on line? Succes!
