Beautiful weather at last!
I fertilized and weeded my flower garden and Jan finally came around to build us a new staircase.
It took him two days …
The wood is oak and comes of a tree in our yard what came down during a big storm 3 years ago
With dowels made of dark oak.
In the meantime our 20-year-old cat is thinking, “there used to be a staircase in this spot … where did it go?”

How special that the staircase is made of your own oak! The dowels make me think of the confetti in your brooch. Nice detail!

And Lois, the cat is always upstairs, I don’t know how she did it but suddenly she was on top of this wobbly ladder …
