My life as a jewelry designer is not always about making jewelry …
In recent weeks we have spent little time in our Atelier. Instead, we sat behind the computer to play around with a design for a new website. Good Lord what a large and complicated task! Fortunately, some aspects such as the layout are fun.
Slowly but surely the project begins to take shape …
At the moment we are working on the image for the Homepage.
This photo will be quite large and has a prominent place on the first page of our site.
What do you think, would you please give me feedback and tell me which picture you like best?

The first picture is nice and clear. The photo shows a wonderful detail and size around the neck. For the homepage it is important I think that people get curious and want to see more(They won’t expect a dog wearing a necklace)..so I would choose the one with the dog ….but still I can imaging that it’s a difficult choice. yes, I also like the dog with the necklace picture. It’s fun and different ! The first and fourth pictures I like a lot too; I am not sure about the second picture. The jewelry is so small in that; maybe people do not see it at all ?

I agree with everything said! However, I would choose the first picture. The image is clear and detailed and the necklace is stunning. This picture clearly show what your site offers – unique, elegant, beautifully made jewelry. As a browser and potential buyer, I would want to click further to find the story behind this amazing wearable work of art. In fact the first picture was the unanimous winner in our house.

It is funny but whenever I show a dog wearing jewelry on my Dutch blog , there is allways somebody saying: Oh how gross!
