French Champagne house, Veuve Clicquot unveiled its latest endeavour with Brazilian designers Fernando & Humberto Campana, at the 2010 Milan Salone Internazionale del Mobile this week.
The Campana brothers designed a gloriette—an open pavilion of sorts—for the redesigned garden of Veuve Clicquot’s family residence, now a luxury destination, Hôtel du Marc in Reims, France.
Dating back from the 18th and 19th centuries, the Hotel du Marc has been under renovation for the past two years. The hotel will open its doors again in Spring 2011, with the Gloriette available to guests.
The design is based on Corallo, a fluid-looking, epoxy-covered outdoor chair designed by the Campanas that has been described as a “three dimensional scribble”.
