Once up on a time I traveled for a year around the United States of America in a little old camper. We nearly visited all the States. I also traveled the coastal road Highway 101 all the way from Northern Oregon to San Diego California. I have seen lots of great architecture along that coast. For instance Sea Ranches of Charles Moore always stuck in my mind.
So when I came across the picture of this house it reminded me somewhat of Sea Ranches. Located on the Oregon Coast, in Bluff Bandon, where Coquille River meets the ocean, this contemporary wooden residence comes from Johnston Architects.
The two wings of the L-shaped plan reach out to the ocean and river views, which are framed by enormous cypress trees. A very large wooden deck is also part of the architecture.
The house provides shelter while opening to the expansive sky, ocean and dunes beyond.

What a dream …full of memories for me too! I love the house, the Oregon coast and the windswept Cypress. I’m afraid this kind of shopping is way beyond my budget. But I still want it and I can still dream!!
