I am busy working in the studio on a new design for a necklace. For some time the idea was only in my head and now there is this crude drawing.
The shape of the necklace link is much more interesting than in this sketch. It is my intention to create a form and color for the link similar to the top of the ring in the picture. The ring is a design from last year, you can read the story behind the ring in our online store. To be continued…

Hi Marion, look forward to seeing the finished article. How long does it take to make a piece like this once you have the idea and details worked out?

The experimenting and thinking about the piece takes days… the actually making of the necklace maybe a full day and a half.
I just came out of my garden to do some work, the sun was out and I can feel it in my face!

So much work to make one piece – but definitely worth it. Glad you have sun and getting to enjoy it. It has been raining and grey in Edinburgh past few days and tonight we cannot see the buildings across the street for the fog. Still waiting for Spring!
