We are in the middle of painting the living room in hues of white and very light grey. After days of hard work the room is white all right, but so far in all the wrong shades. My…my…I had know idea it was that difficult to come up with the precise whitish tint.
So these interior pictures of the furniture makers of Pinch fit into my frame of mind right now… Wonderful atmosphere in the rooms of Pinch, look at the desk, isn’t beautiful?
Founded in 2004, Pinch is the collaboration between husband and wife team Russell Pinch and Oona Bannon. They work from their studio / showroom in London. The pieces have a timeless quality and are designed and built to last.
All furniture is made by hand and to order.

Gorgeous furniture and I love the lampshade in the first photo. Good luck with the painting and finding the right shade of white!

It is incredible, how connections are made sometimes. I couple of weeks ago I found 13 threads and commented on her pictures today, she wrote back almost immidiatly, telling me of your site… I have to agree: finding the right white can be tricky, since white comes in so many different shades and undertones. It all depends on the light, your exposure and the amount of sun your getting. And your remining colours, fabrics, wood ect.
I just looked at this new little book: House Beautiful – Colors for your Home – 360 designer favorites. It is incredible helpful and maybe you can find it in Holland!
Usually I think whites and grays with a warm undertone are more easily to live with!
Anyway, I can’t wait to see, what you come up with! Good luck!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog Victoria! How nice to get a new visitor who not only gives comments but also is giving tips… GREAT! Yes, in our case the warm undertone in the white is very important because the room we are painting has northern light. I should’ve realized that sooner. Lets hope this last paint we bought, a very light grey with a drop of brown in it does the trick. Sorry for answering so late but my blog is having troubles with my server… I promise I will visit your site too!
