I know, I know, it is still very much winter…. Well I say time for some summer pictures!
This is about ‘Outstanding in the Field’ a group of people organizing adventurous diners to celebrate food at the source. Jim Denevan, a Californian artist I talked about before over here, founded the whole idea in 1999.
The long tables are set at farms or gardens, on mountaintops or in sea caves, on islands or at ranches. Bringing together local farmers and food artisans, chefs and winemakers, they explore the connection between the earth and the food.
I think the whole concept is a marvellous idea and the photos look very appealing. What do you think?

My goodness! I’ve never seen anything like it but I love the concept. You do find the most appealing stories Marion.
