This time of the year lots of art, craft and design is going on.
I try to visit it all and will keep you posted.
The second edition of the “Open Art Fair” in Utrecht started on Tuesday and will be going on through Sunday. Yesterday we brought a visit to this Art Fair. Because it is all Art with a capital A, (do you know this expression in the English language too?) it was a pure inspirational visit because most of the prices are way beyond our budget. But the visit was worthwhile, all the art was modern and lots of it was beautiful and indeed inspirational…
Many beautiful sculptures this year. I always go for the ones with the geometric shapes like the sculptures of Jean-Louis Corby from France. The work of Jean Louis Corby’s combines both the abstract and detailed, the free-flowing forms and geometric shapes. I think his work is about rhythm and movement.
An artist whose work I also like is Emiliana Cordaro a Dutch painter.
Her paintings of geometric landscapes are full of energy and her colors are always in beautiful harmony. I think form, structure and color are the three most important elements in her work.
